Mock Assessment Centre

Resourcing Matters Ltd, sponsors of www.1st-step.co.uk, run Mock Assessment Centres across the UK. They are fun and interactive and you will have the opportunity to practise a range of selection activities and to receive individual constructive feedback - so that you can maximise your performance in the real thing.

We are also willing to visit your campus if you are able to guarantee a minimum of 6 participants for one workshop. Please call or email us if you would like to discuss this option.

You can make the interviewer feel more comfortable by using the same type of language they use. For example, if they refer to “co-workers”, use the same work instead of “team-members” or “colleagues”.

Practise this now by having a short conversation and match the language of your partner. This tip has been taken from the ‘Succeeding at Interview’ cards and comes from Clubs which is the ‘Your body language’ suit. The ‘Succeeding at Interview’ cards are based on the traditional set of cards with each suit covering the following:-

Hearts – preparing mentally

Clubs – Your Body language

Diamonds – Your preparation

Spades – Managing the Interview
